FIRST THINGS FIRST

Fixing City Hall

Before we tackle major priorities like public safety and economic growth—or even the basics like filling potholes, repairing sidewalks, and planting trees—we need to start with the foundation: a functional, ethical, and competent city government.

Cleveland Heights cannot move forward until City Hall works the way it should. That means responsive services, clear accountability, and leadership that puts residents first.

As mayor, I will begin the cleanup on day one—and keep it going well beyond the first 100 days. That includes:

  • Building strong, respectful partnerships with every member of City Council—new, returning, and re-elected.
  • Creating a healthy work culture where city employees feel valued and supported.
  • Hiring a professional City Administrator to manage daily operations while I focus on vision, communication, and trust-building.
  • Requiring transparent systems, regular audits, and real accountability.

This work will extend beyond City Hall. I will partner with schools, libraries, faith communities, neighborhood groups, small businesses, and nonprofits to serve residents more effectively. I will also rebuild relationships with our neighboring cities, Cuyahoga County, and regional organizations to address shared challenges together.

As an experienced nonprofit executive and government administrator in the Heights for more than 15 years, I bring the expertise and objectivity required to lead our city out of its current mess. While as an outsider to Cleveland Heights City government, I did not create the problem, I am qualified and ready to lead the team that will solve it.

Help get our campaign off the ground and running full speed to the November election!
