Deanna Bremer Fisher Recognized as 2025 Gun Sense Candidate by Moms Demand Action

July 27, 2025

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Mayoral candidate Deanna Bremer Fisher has earned the 2025 Gun Sense Candidate distinction by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a national grassroots movement working to end gun violence and build safer communities.

The recognition signals Bremer Fisher’s commitment to advocating for common-sense gun safety laws and governing with gun violence prevention as a priority.

“Gun violence is a public health crisis, and I’m committed to making Cleveland Heights a safer place for all of our residents,” said Bremer Fisher. “As mayor, I will work with our police, schools, community leaders, and residents to implement policies that reduce violence and protect our neighborhoods. I’m honored to be recognized by Moms Demand Action for standing up for sensible gun safety.”

The Gun Sense Candidate distinction is given to candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to support evidence-based policies that reduce gun violence. While not an endorsement, the designation helps voters identify candidates who prioritize gun safety in their platform and governance.

Bremer Fisher’s campaign has emphasized community safety, transparency, and collaboration across city government. In addition to supporting gun safety legislation, she has pledged to invest in mental health services, youth engagement, and smart community policing strategies.
